MEET THE THERAPIST
HEIDI WILLS, OTR/L, CHT
Heidi grew up on the Great Lakes in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Coming from the small paper mill town, Menominee, she wanted to see more of the country, and found a solution in becoming a traveling hand therapist.
During Heidi's travels across mountainous states she realized her love for their beauty, peace, and opportunities for camping, caving, and climbing. She settled in to the rock climbing mecca of Northeastern Wyoming for nearly a decade. During this time she focused on 3 main goals: work toward becoming a Certified Hand Therapist (achieved in 2009), training and competing in fitness competitions, and experiencing as many of our world's cultures as possible (a work in progress!)
Now she's rooted down on acreage between Medford and Jacksonville, with her partner and his 2 teenage daughters, 4 cats, 2 parakeets, and 46 chickens. When she's not helping people feel better, or herding cats, Heidi enjoys gardening, reading, catching up with friends and family, avoiding dirty dishes like the plague, and keeping up on the latest in hand therapy research. She still loves to travel, and in addition to her state-side journeys, she's visited England, Scotland, Portugal, Spain, Canada, Guatemala, and Belize. Her favorite part of traveling is spending time exploring with locals and learning regional history.
